Yinan Wang received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and automation from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2017, the M.S. in electrical engineering from Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, in 2019, the Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2022.
Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, USA. His research interests include data analytics, system pattern recognition, and machine learning techniques in quality control of advanced manufacturing systems. He is a recipient of the FTC Early Career Award, seven best paper awards (e.g., IISE Transaction Best Paper Award), and two best dissertation awards. He also won the Faculty Achievement Award from RPI.
Dr. Wang is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the American Statistical Association (ASA).
